Carrie Williams

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2011, but my journey in veterinary nursing began much earlier—I’ve been working in practice since I was 17 years old. Becoming an RVN was always my dream, and I’ve never wanted to be anything else.

In 2013, I moved to Devon and joined the team at SDVH, where I’ve since worked my way up to Head Nurse. Patient care has always been my top priority, and I’m passionate about providing the highest standards of support and compassion to both our patients and their owners.

I enjoy all aspects of my role, but I have a particular interest in CT imaging—both performing scans and training our team in this area. Supporting and developing our staff is something I find incredibly rewarding.

Outside of work, I love being by the sea. Paddleboarding, cold water swimming, bodyboarding, and long coastal walks are my favourite ways to unwind. The ocean truly is my happy place.
